GETTING ACTIVE IN THE NEW YEAR!


The beginning of a New Year, is a great time to start considering the changes you want to make in your daily life. This is the time when you should take a fresh start with some positive and healthy life choices! One of such choices Healing Health recommends is working out and staying active. Taking out some time from your busy schedule for stretching, movement and light exercise will help not only your physical but mental health!

For the purpose of motivation, we have gathered some of the most common reasons why getting active at the start of a New Year can be super beneficial and healthy for you.

By the start of a New Year, collectively people are full of positivity and hope. They make plans and resolutions to fix some of the things which, according to them, need changes. This is why it is the perfect time to get a gym membership, enroll in a new sport, or just work out at home. The energy is high and you will not be alone in taking on something new. If you start consistently forming a habit over 18-66 days, these habits will become automatic!

Most gyms and fitness studios around the country offer membership discounts around New Year. If you have been delaying getting a gym membership- this would be the best time to finally get it. Consider getting the membership to be the first step towards your healthy and active lifestyle.

  • Development of a Routine:

Working out and staying active sometimes seems extremely hard at the beginning, and you can’t seem to see the finish line. But, once you develop your routines for a few days consecutively, it will become a routine for you. What is a better time to start a new routine than now? Just try to spare a few minutes from your busy lives and do your favorite activity. It doesn't have to be a full-fledged workout- yoga, walking, running, swimming, or boxing will do. Once you find and feel the positive changes in your daily life from your routine, you will not be less hesitant to do your workout routine and these routines can carry you throughout your year!

  • Keeping A Positive Mindset/De-stressing :

With the holidays around Christmas and New Year, going back to work can sometimes become challenging and a bit of a drag- sometimes causing a negative mindset.But if you decide to give a specific amount of time to your workout each day, it can help you in developing a routine, which helps your brains elasticity and can give you a better perspective on things. Staying active can also help you in dealing with all your work-related stress in a better and more efficient way.
